Sy Camaro has long been troubled by sordid visions of extrauniversal chaos and primordial dread. Bluegrass grown— proud of it, despite it all— they reside in the state of their cultivation in the scenic River City. Creative from birth, their true passion lies in the weaving of worlds through narrative and prosodic atmosphere. Among the settings they have hallucinated— including bloody, oily post-apocalypses and over-the-top satire of American late capitalism—Kyn is their most beloved, expressing the horrors unique to mental illness, religion, and politics.
Inspired by a swathe of media— from books like Vandermeer's Annihilation, to video games like Elden Ring and The Elder Scrolls, to other shared-universe projects like The SCP Foundation— Kyn has blossomed into something entirely new, given a breath of life by Camaro's distinctive writing style and interest in human history and occultism both new and old.
